Meet the Team
Meet Our Team
Friendly, knowledgeable, and fully focused on you—our team is here to support every step of your cycling journey.

Owners:
Ben and Jen VanSlander
We made the Auburn-Opelika area our home in 2018 and have loved every moment since! With our two children now grown, we're embracing life as empty-nesters. After managing the store for several years, Ben is fulfilling his dream of owning and operating a bicycle shop, where he's known for his exceptional customer service and extensive knowledge about all things cycling. Ben credits his Uncle John with giving him his first real bicycle and sparking his passion for racing and touring. An active member of the local cycling community, you’ll often find him exploring Lee County’s stunning gravel roads on his Trek Checkpoint or preparing for his next bikepacking adventure. And every so often, you might spot Jen cruising by on her Trek Allant 7+ eBike!
Service Manager:
Kevin Horschel
Kevin has been an essential part of the team since 2022, and he currently operates as our service manager. With five years of professional experience as a mechanic, he is committed to delivering reliable, high-quality service. A graduate of Auburn University and a retired U.S. Army veteran, Kevin and his family discovered their passion for mountain biking in 2016 when his children joined the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). Inspired by the welcoming local mountain biking community, he became an active member of the Central Alabama Mountain Pedalers (CAMP) and now serves on the trail committee at Chewacla State Park. Kevin’s favorite annual cycling events include Trek Bicycle of Auburn’s Cranksgiving and Chainbuster Racing’s Iron Maiden endurance mountain bike race at Tannehill Ironworks Historic State Park.

Mechanic: Amy Ingram

A devoted wife and proud mom of two grown children, she balances her love for family with a deep commitment to the cycling community. As a certified ACA (formerly NICA) coach, Amy is dedicated to mentoring young riders and helping them grow on and off the bike. Whether she’s turning wrenches, leading rides, or offering support and advice, Amy is always ready to share her expertise and enthusiasm with others.
