Check out these awesome local groups that’ll keep you pedaling, laughing, and making new cycling buddies along the way.
Thursday Night Dirtbags
Join us for a fun and inclusive gravel ride, starting at 7:00 p.m. CST every Thursday night. This is a no-drop ride with a pace for everyone, especially those who enjoy a laid-back, social "Party Pace." Whether you're a seasoned gravel rider or just looking for a casual spin with great company, this ride is for you!
The ride departs from different locations each week:
- 1st & 3rd Thursdays: Meet at Waverly Local
- 2nd & 4th Thursdays: Meet at Ben and Jen's house (call the shop for the address)
Second Sunday Adventure Ride
The Second Sunday Ride is all about having an adventure by bicycle. Each month our rides explore scenic, historic, cultural, and other interesting places or events. Most rides are within an hour's drive of Auburn, Alabama, and none are too long or fast.
Alabama Cycling Group
The Alabama Cycling Association (ACA) is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to get more kids on bikes. We are a youth development organization committed to redefining what a youth sports program is all about. We provide coaching and camaraderie to students who love mountain biking. Our goal is to help middle school and high school kids achieve both competitive and non-competitive cross-country mountain biking skills in a safe and enjoyable manner.
Auburn Bicycle Committee
The Auburn Bicycle Committee has been dedicated to improving cycling conditions around Auburn since 2000.
Auburn Opelika Cycling Community
Information about group rides, a place to hook up with fellow cyclists for a ride, reports on upcoming cycling events in the area, and a spot to upload ride maps of great local routes. Covers the East Central Alabama and West Central Georgia area.
Auburn Flyers
The Auburn Flyers are the official club cycling team of Auburn University. The Flyers aim to promote cycling as both a hobby and sport through group rides, social events, and competitive race teams. The Flyers compete in both mountain bike and road seasons as a part of the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference.
CAMP Southern Off Road Bicycle Association
CAMP is dedicated to enhancing Central Alabama communities through mountain biking. In partnership with the Auburn-Opelika Tourism Bureau, Chewacla State Park, and local businesses, we host events and festivals to promote the sport, attract tourists, and position the region as a national mountain biking destination.

Chewacla State Park
Chewacla State Park's 696 scenic acres offer plenty of rest, relaxation and recreation, just a short drive from the Auburn-Opelika area. Facilities include a 26-acre lake, swimming area, playground, a modern campground, picnic areas with tables, grills and shelters, cabins, hiking and mountain biking trails.
